Emerging Technology Trainings

Technology has advanced rapidly with the advent of “Cloud Computing” and “Big Data” and not to forget “Machine Learning”.  Big Data is being used by companies to enhance user experience. Currently “Emerging Technologies” like Artificial Intelligence; Machine language; Intelligent Apps; Seamless Voice Recognition; Edge Computing and Predictive Analytics would have an impact on one another and will move forward areas like Augmented Reality, Virtual reality, IOT, and Driverless Vehicles.

The technological advancement has made changes in the way operate that affect a wide spectrum of processes and services.  It has notably changed the business strategy and model of doing businesses, utilizing products and services. This has brought about disruption in some of the existing businesses forcing them to either change their business model or face the prospect of closing down the operations. The organization needs to recognize this foreseeable “Digital Disruption” in the market and adapt accordingly.

Skillwise has kept abreast of these technological changes that are pushing innovative business models that are impacting the marketplace. What is Digital Disruption and why is it making an impact on businesses? What can existing businesses do about this expression that is changing our lives and lifestyle? Digital Disruption is a terminology used for when any activity using information technology brings about changes in the way we operate, deliver and use a service.

For example, taxi services like Ola and Uber with the use mobile applications have been able to aggregate taxi operators to come under a common platform to provide metered taxi services. This has disrupted the existing meter taxis and fixed rate car rental services by making affordable and flexible services to the traveler Skillwise conducts workshops and seminars to help their clientele embrace this change in the way they conduct business in the near future, if not now.

Digital Disruption is not the same as Disruptive Technology. For example, electric cars are the disruptive technology, whereas driverless cars are will come under the term “digital disruption”

The constant changes happening in the fast-paced technological space brings about the need for organizations to adapt to digital advancement in the marketplace. Skillwise has provided numerous programs and workshops for this Talent Transformation via “Learning Portals”, “Instructor Let Training”(ILT),  for upskilling and cross-skilling the workforce and also “Role-Based Growth”.

Skillwise is helping organizations to scale-up to the advancement in areas like Augmented Reality; Virtual Reality; Multiple Virtual Reality; Internet Of Things; Robotics; Robotic Process Analysis; Data Analytics and Nanotechnology.  Through its wide-ranging training services, helps organizations in their “Talent Transformation” and “Competency Building” of their workforce

Let us look at some of the emerging technologies and see how they are impacting us.

Artificial Intelligence (AI):  AI seems to be taking the center stage of technological advancement this century, from having had computers beating “Chess Grand Masters” to developing a sort of humanoid robot christened “Sophia”. Sophia can hold eye contact, recognize faces and understand human speech. Such is the advancement that “Sophia” can converse with a person like a normal human being.

Today, bots, as they are called, have been deployed in various areas carrying out common chores. Apart from physical robots “Robotic Process Automation” has been implemented to carry out repetitive tasks. RPAs are software with AI that carries routine functions in Banking, HR, Assessment’s, Accounting and Customer Services. These systems have the ability to analyze and improvise the processes and cut down response times.

Data Analysis is to represent data in an organized way to evaluate, interpret and describe the statistical data with a logical reasoning for examining each component. Today various tools are available to help professional analyze tons of data. Business Intelligence tools are available to mine the data from various and diverse data repositories and bring them on to a common table to research on the collected data.

Prescriptive/Predictive Analytics is used for improving operational processes, enhancing customer experience, augmenting marketing services. It indicates what is probably expected when given the current data. It helps organizations to build predictive models for customer retention and market growth. Most large companies have already invested in “Big Data” to refine their predictive analytics.

Predictive Analysis in simple terms captures predicts using algorithms and acts on the outcomes. Based on the data, it studies past outcomes and creates a model that can predict current and future outcomes. In business, predictive analysis uses common business objectives like the capture of market share, customer retention, customer value, mitigate risks and prevent fraud.

Introducing predictive analysis as a roadmap would help organizations’ gradually bring in a “data-driven decision making” culture. It is not something you achieve overnight. It starts with the identification of possible applications and implements one by one based on the value it brings to the organization.

Edge Computing -From storing local data, filtering them and sending to them a remote server, Edge computing has evolved to now locally analyzing data and acting upon it at the local device.  A major factor in making “Internet of Things” IOT function has been Edge computing. Today “Edge Computing” seems to be the center in the Business to Consumer market segment as well as consumer to consumer in the social engagement segment.

Seamless Voice Recognition is a technology that helps us have a conversation with devices. From the rudimentary dictation voice to text recorder, voice recognition technology has advanced in terms of usage as well as its ability to decipher distinct voices. With the Robots being developed to having their own mind, voice recognition has played a major part in helping bots like “Sophia” in gauging the tone and tenor of the voice and emotionally reacting to it.  Voice and speech technology has moved into homes with Amazon Echo, Google Home, and Apple HomePod. Today one would find the use of speech recognition technology being implemented in Automobiles, Health Care Services, Defense Industry, Telecom Services, Learning & Education and also in helping the differentially enabled lead normal lives’.

Skillwise will help you start your Arduino journey with their training programmes which help from the basic to making your trial project. The learning modules will help improve your skills with the latest knowledge and techniques on the subject. The training programme begins with a simple set of exercises for coding inputs and outputs and then demonstrating breadboard wiring. You will learn to control Arduino board using a set of C/C++ functions and on finishing this training, you will understand Arduino concepts with required skills to develop Arduino projects.

Artificial Intelligence is currently driven by a cutting-edge-technology component called Machine Learning which is driving the world to create human-like robots. Machine Learning has helped develop more tools in building artificial intelligence systems in recent years. Machine learning gets computers to respond without elaborate programs. It is omnipresent in many devices that we use daily without realizing it. Machine Learning has made bots with almost human-level artificial intelligence like “Sophia”.  Machine learning has driven technology to bring out “Driverless cars”, “Voice recognition” etc.

Coming to Deep Learning this again is a special area within the Machine Learning subject. Deep Learning narrows down further to a set of tools and techniques to solve problems using a thought process. With data being fed by neural networks used in machine learning, Deep Learning uses them to make decisions on other data by using true or false responses or extracting a numerical value from every bit of data stored in the system. Any audio or video, speech or written words can be processed using this technique to produce human-like responses, like what we have seen in “Sophie” the robot.

UAV is a thing of the past. With drones coming in a big way has given way to exploring unmanned cars. The only difference is these vehicles are not even remotely controlled by humans. Auto Pilot and Cruise control in cars have evolved to what we now call “Driverless Vehicles”. These automobiles are able to maneuver and navigate the roads with traffic on their own. Deep Learning techniques have helped technologists develop self-sensing apparatus with the capability to maneuver a vehicle on the road by using a variety of sensors.  Combining the technology used in radars, sonar instruments and control systems with assistance from global positioning systems and odometers, scientists have been able to make these vehicles move around without any human intervention even remotely.

Cognitive computing mimics human responses. This technology can imitate the human capability of studying, analyzing and judging basic situations. By harnessing computing power it can carry out replicative tasks with greater speed and accuracy. It will augment human potential in ways humans may not be able to perceive.

Cognitive computing will alter our lives professionally and personally. It brings about the possibility were man and robot will together enable organizations to work more efficiently, increase performance and productivity. It covers three converging areas –

Sensory perception – the ability to simulate the five human senses. Right visual and voice perception are developed.
Deduce, reason out and learn – Ability to simulate “decision-making” like humans.  Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Neural networks are applied to derive answers and apply judgment.
Data Processing – Very large-scale data sets processed for faster, smarter, accurate decisions. High-performance search engines to work in real time and Natural Language Processing (a vital component of Artificial Intelligence) – the ability of the computer to recognize the human language.
